These standards explain how Pan African Dating protects children from sexual abuse and exploitation across our website and apps, and what to do if you have a concern.
1. Our commitment
Pan African Dating has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE), including child sexual abuse material (CSAM). We are committed to keeping children off our service and to preventing, detecting, removing and reporting any content or behavior that sexualizes, exploits or endangers minors.
2. Adults only
Pan African Dating is only for adults aged 18 or over. To protect minors:
- Every member must provide their date of birth when registering, and anyone under 18 is not allowed to join.
- Our Terms of Service require every member to be at least 18 years old.
- Profile photos are moderated, and photos that appear to show a minor are removed.
- Accounts we believe belong to a minor are suspended and removed.
3. Prohibited content and behavior
The following is strictly prohibited on our website and apps:
- Creating, uploading, sharing, requesting or linking to child sexual abuse material of any kind, including drawn, animated or AI-generated imagery.
- Any content that sexualizes minors, including images, text, messages or profile descriptions.
- Grooming: befriending or communicating with a minor, or with someone believed to be a minor, with the aim of sexual contact or exploitation.
- Sextortion, or threatening or coercing a minor into sharing sexual images.
- Trafficking or soliciting minors for any sexual or exploitative purpose.
- Using the service to arrange contact with a minor, or offering access to a minor.
- Any other content or behavior that promotes, glorifies or facilitates the abuse or exploitation of children.
These rules apply to profiles, photos, messages and any other part of the service.
4. How to report a concern
If you see anything that may put a child at risk, please tell us right away:
- In the app or website: use the Report option on any member's profile or photo. Reports are sent directly to our moderation team.
- Contact us: send us a message through our contact page. You do not need an account to do this.
Never download, screenshot or share suspected abuse material, even to report it. If a child is in immediate danger, contact your local police or emergency services first.
5. How we respond
When we become aware of possible child sexual abuse or exploitation, we:
- Prioritize the report for review by our moderation team.
- Remove the offending content as quickly as possible.
- Permanently ban the accounts involved and take steps to stop them from returning.
- Report child sexual abuse material and exploitation to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and to the relevant regional and national authorities, as required by law.
- Preserve relevant information and cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.
6. Compliance with the law
We comply with all applicable child safety laws and regulations in the countries where we operate, including obligations to report child sexual abuse material to the appropriate authorities.
7. Child safety contact
We have a designated point of contact responsible for our child safety practices and for responding to enquiries about CSAM and its removal. Law enforcement, organizations and members can reach them through our contact page.
